Clergy & Staff

Lisa Hunt is the Rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and President of the Board of Trustees of St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. She is responsible for the spiritual life of the Church and School community including worship, formation, and pastoral care. She is an alumna of the General Theological Seminary and Vanderbilt Divinity School; she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo in Ohio.
Her current interests include urban development and affordable housing; she serves on the Montrose Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone board for the city of Houston, chairing its Affordable Housing committee. She is married to Bruce Farrar; together they have three children: Annie, Max, and Rose. Their two grandchildren, Maya and Alton, are the apples of their eyes.

Hannah Pommersheim is the Curate at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. She earned her B.A. from Davidson College in 2011 and her M.Div. at the Sewanee School of Theology in 2019. Prior to seminary, Hannah worked in Austin for the Episcopal Student Center at UT and as a case manager for persons experiencing homelessness. Since graduating from seminary, she has served as the Research Associate for the Roberson Project on Slavery, Race, and Reconciliation at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Hannah lives with her husband Kyle Sanders and their dog, Hugo.
